Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 2, 2026

Inspiring Futures is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to supporting foster youth and justice-involved young people in New York City. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us through the following channels:

Contact Form: When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and phone number (if provided), along with the message you send us.

Newsletter Subscriptions: When you sign up for our email newsletter, we collect your email address.

CMS Administrator Access: Staff and authorised administrators who log in to our content management system provide an email address and password, which are managed securely through Supabase Authentication.

We do not collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, financial account details, or payment card information. We do not process any payments on this website.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To respond to your enquiries and contact form submissions in a timely and helpful manner.

To send you our email newsletter with updates on our programmes, impact stories, and events, where you have opted in to receive communications.

To operate and maintain the CMS, allowing authorised staff to manage website content securely.

To improve the functionality and content of our website based on how it is used.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. How We Store and Protect Your Data

Your personal information is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform built on PostgreSQL and hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). All data is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS) and encrypted at rest.

Access to personal data is restricted to authorised Inspiring Futures staff and is protected by role-based access controls. We review and update our security practices regularly to protect against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of your information.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Cookies

This website uses a limited number of cookies necessary for the operation of the site. Specifically, session cookies are used to maintain the authenticated state of CMS administrators while they are logged in.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or similar tracking services.

Because we only use session-essential cookies, no cookie consent banner is required under current applicable standards. You may configure your browser to refuse cookies; however, this may affect the functionality of the CMS for authorised administrators.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate this website:

Supabase (supabase.com): Provides our database, authentication, and file storage infrastructure. Data processed by Supabase is subject to their Privacy Policy.

Vercel (vercel.com): Hosts and delivers this website. Vercel may process request logs and related technical data. This is subject to their Privacy Policy.

We do not use any advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, or third-party analytics providers.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request correction of any inaccurate information, and to request deletion of your personal data where we have no ongoing legitimate reason to retain it.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 30 days.
